Business Resident of the 23rd ward, Country Financial®, will be hosting an education seminar on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the HomeRun Inn Pizza (6221 S. Archer) from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Department of Water Management (DWM) and Human Resources has begun to prepare for the "official" start of the 2013 Construction Season. The DWM has coordinated with Aldermen, Chicago Department of Transportation, ComEd, and Peoples Energy to ensure the continuance of this aggressive capital program, which includes 75 miles of water main and 57 miles of sewer main rehabilitation. A scheduled program has been devised to begin infrastructure improvements. The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and Prevent Child Abuse Illinois are holding an event to launch National Child Abuse Prevention Month, April 1st, 2013 at the concourse of the James R. Thompson Center, 100 West Randolph Street, from 12 noon until 1:00 P.M. The focus of National Child Abuse Prevention Month this year is thanking the countless Illinoisians helping to prevent child abuse and encourage Illinoisians to join them in giving, volunteering and acting to stop child abuse in their community.
